eSIM

An eSIM, or embedded SIM, is a digital SIM built into some phones, tablets, and smartwatches. It works like a regular SIM card, allowing your device to connect to a mobile network. Essentially, it's the same technology without the physical card.

Instead of a physical SIM card that you insert into your phone, an eSIM is built into the device itself. This means you can activate and manage your mobile plan digitally, without having to swap out physical SIM cards.

This is particularly helpful when:

Changing phones: You can easily transfer your plan to a new device.
Switching plans: Updating your service is a simple digital process.
Traveling internationally: Activate a local plan without finding a physical SIM card.

Essentially, an eSIM provides the same functionality as a traditional SIM card but with added convenience and flexibility.

While eSIM technology is becoming increasingly common, not all phones support it. Most smartphones released after 2018 are eSIM-compatible, but it's always best to double-check.

To find out if your phone has eSIM capabilities:

✅ Check your phone's settings: Look for an "eSIM" or "Cellular Plan" option.
✅ Review your phone's specifications: This information can usually be found in ✅ your phone's manual or on the manufacturer's website.

Yes, you can use an eSIM and a traditional SIM card at the same time if your phone supports dual SIM functionality. This means you can have two separate phone numbers and plans active on one device – ideal for separating work and personal calls, or for using a local SIM while traveling internationally.

You'll get the same great coverage with an eSIM as you would with a traditional SIM card. Whether you choose eSIM or a physical SIM, you'll still have access to ZYM Mobile's reliable 4G and 5G network with excellent islandwide coverage.

The process for transferring an eSIM from one device to another can vary depending on your device. Here's a general guide, along with some things to keep in mind:

General Steps:

✅ Check Device Compatibility: Make sure your new device is eSIM compatible and supports your carrier.
✅ Disable eSIM on Old Device: On your old device, go to your cellular settings and find the option to disable or delete your eSIM profile. This may be called "Remove Cellular Plan" or something similar.
✅ Find the email: Locate the previous email with your eSIM QR code.
✅ Scan the code: Open the "Scan QR" function on your new device and scan the code from the email.
✅ Activate your eSIM: Follow the prompts on your device to install and activate your eSIM.

If you can't find the email with your QR code, contact ZYM customer support, and they can help you retrieve it.

Unlike some other providers that only allow you to scan your eSIM QR code once, ZYM gives you more flexibility. You can scan your eSIM QR code up to three times.

If you need to scan it more than three (3) times, you'll need to request a new QR code, which has a $3.00 fee (Inclusive of GST)
